"When building the Brew, our hope was that it would become a community coffee and gathering place," said Brenda Hostetler Kauffman, owner of the Brew. "We hope that with the new wireless connection the space can be utilized for both work and relaxation, and are excited to fulfill our customer’s requests with expanded service opportunities."

Bryan Falcon, a partner at local Internet solutions provider LightSky, has been looking forward to wireless service at The Electric Brew ever since he installed Wi-Fi in his home. "The end result is good coffee and a relaxing evening on the Internet at the Brew."

Everblue Media, a local video production company, and LightSky sponsored the installation, and are providing continuing support of the wireless service.

Eric Kanagy, co-owner of Everblue Media, envisions a future where the Internet is all pervasive. "I have Wi-Fi in my house, at work, in airports when I travel, and now at The Brew...it's really freeing to cut the cords and access email and the web from anywhere."

Wireless Internet capabilities are finding themselves into a wide variety of venues. From office buildings, to airports, to hotels and select restaurants, it's a convenience that is quickly catching on and being demanded by Internet users.

A $1 per use donation is suggested to help support the wireless service.
